There is a free online tool Audio Joiner where you an drag and drop your files. For a desktop solution, I have been using MovAvi for years. I haven't used it for mp3 files. I have used it for mp4 files. I use the freeware Makeitone Mp3 Album Maker . Small, simple to use: you can add files and or folders, drag and drop, etc. Besides, it is reversible: you can undo the merging to get back the original files.

I have used a lot of online tools, and they worked nicely for me, so maybe simply try some more... If you want something on Windows, mp3DirectCut may be an option. You drag the files into the window and then save.
