“My phone auto-uploads photos to Nextcloud. On desktop I want a GUI that downloads files from the WebDAV server and deletes them afterwards to free space.”

Suggested and untested workaround until you find a suitable software: Synchronize the files using Nextcloud Desktop (two-way-sync) Use a script to move the files from the local synchronized directory to a purely local, unsynchronized directory Example script to move the files: #!/bin/bash # create empty file to show that a 'sync' is in progress. # Maybe show a popup dialog instead https://stackoverflow.com/questions/7035/how-can-i-show-a-gui-message-box-from-a-bash-script-in-linux touch synced_folder/sync_in_progress # move the files from the synced to the unsynced folder mv synced_folder/* no
