What was actually said
“I have a large body of optical media (CDs, DVDs, BDs) to archive — a mixed, aging collection where data integrity and reproducibility matter more than speed.”

Background and pain
The pain
Discs fade and data dies: copy tools ignore verification, recovery passes and multi-round comparison; the archival workflow is hand-assembled.
A buildable angle
The opening
Archival workflow software: multi-pass ripping, checksums, recovery attempts, metadata catalog. One-time license for hobbyists and libraries.
How to validate it
- Read the whole thread and note the recurring scenarios — repetition is the density of the need.
- Search existing tools around "archival / optical media" and check which single step they actually cover.
- Put up a one-line landing page, share it back to Stack Exchange, and see whether anyone asks about pricing.
